Things base and vile, holding no quantity,
Love can transpose to form and dignity.
Love looks not with the eye, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.
~ by William Shakespeare ~

That's great!!!!! I love Shakespear plays so much!!!! Back in high school, we went to the Shakespear Theatre in Stratford, CT to watch the Romeo and Juliet play. What a beautiful play even though there were lots of amateur actors but nonetheless all of Shakespear stories were so....um, what should I put this way?....WOW!

I love Midsummer Night's Dream!!!
Funny we should be talking about this..... I am sitting here memorizing my lines.....
"Double, double, toil and trouble,
Fire burn and cauldron bubble."
I'm playing one of the witches in Macbeth in Scotland at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival... I'm too excited for words. 4 weeks of doing theatre in Scotland. That's where I'm going on the 25th of July.

Thanks!
Well, it's a working vacation, because I'll be working as an actor, but that's fun, so it'll be a fun working vacation! The whole city is filled with theatre, and on your off day (we get one off day a week), you can spend the whole day going to see all the other theatre that's going on.... it's a huge festival. On our off days, though, I may grab some time to sneak into an internet cafe.... can't stay away from this place for too long.
But I've never been to Scotland! Been to England many times, but not to Scotland.... Edinburgh's supposed to be beautiful!!

Midsummer's is one of my favorite favorite plays. I'm on eof these geeks that used to read Shakespeare for fun in high school!
Nan, that trip sounds absolutely incredible! Ya gotta go see some castles while you're there. That's part of my dream vacation.

I'm really getting excited about this whole thing, Robin. :jump: I may take one of my days off and just go out of the city and find a castle. But I hear the castle in Edinburgh itself is incredible, so that may be my castle exploration.

Edinburgh Castle is indeed supposed to be fabulous, and I believe it's considered the most haunted castle in all of Great Britain.
Here are a couple of links if you want to do some research on the area. Yeah, castles have been a fascination of mine for over a quarter of a century, yet I still have not taken my trip to see some. :( So you need to send me lots of pictures!

on edit: I lied. I remembered that it's Glamis that's the most haunted (I think). But that also is in Scotland. (I think.) I just don't seem to know too much anymore. (I think.)
