Okay. I think this Forum needs some rah-rahs! We're all feeling so frustrated and pissed off.... I'm gonna treat every win like a miracle from now on.
I'm gonna jump. :jump:
I'm gonna dance. :dance2:
I'm gonna cheer. http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein_1/cheering.gif
So, WOOHOOO!!!!!!! THE METS WIN!!!!
FINAL SCORE!!! 4-2, OUR METSIES!!!
Pedro Astacio pitched a fine game, winning his 2nd game against the Phillies in 12 days.
Robbie hit a two-run double, in a very strange thing in the 2nd inning. The ump called time, just as Duckworth went into his delivery, he threw it, Robbie smacked one into right center, and it would have been a two-run single, but it was wiped out because of that time-out, so he goes and hits a ground-rule double, scoring two runs!! Cool! Bobby V. says he got two hits in that at-bat.
I like what David Weathers had to say. He pumped his fist after getting out of a jam in the 8th. And he said in an interview afterwards, "I think sometimes on this team, and I'm guilty of it, too, we've made some big plays and we haven't had a lot of emotion,'' Weathers said. "Sometimes it's good to have some fire and emotion. It felt good to get out of it.'' (Yeah. That's the stuff!!! :jump: )
Robbie'e heating up. He's now batting .429 (15-for-35) with six extra-base hits during an eight-game hitting streak. He's scored 10 runs and knocked in eight during that time.
SO!!!!!! RAH! RAH!!!
(Okay, they may shoot me down with the very next game, but I'm takin' it one game at a time.... if they win, I'm happy.)
