BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins on Tuesday signed unrestricted free agent left wing Michal Grosek, who had been with the New York Rangers, to a one-year contract.

The Bruins also re-signed goaltender John Grahame and defensemen Nick Boynton and Sean Brown to one-year deals.

Financials terms for all four contracts were not disclosed.

Grosek, 27, registered just five points in 15 games for the Rangers last season. The 6-2, 216-pound enforcer spent most of the season at Hartford of the American Hockey League, recording 14 goals and 30 assists in 48 games for the Wolfpack.

Grosek has 79 goals and 117 assists in 430 career NHL games for the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks and Rangers. His best season came for the Sabres in 1998-99, when he had 20 goals and 30 assists in 76 games for the Stanley Cup finalists.

"Michal Grosek is a rugged winger who plays with an edge," Bruins general manager Mike O'Connell said. "He has proven in the past that he can score goals and has been a solid player performer, playing a big role on Buffalo's playoff teams, including their run to the Stanley Cup finals in 1999."

Grahame played in 16 games for the Bruins last season, posting a 8-7-2 record and 2.59 goals-against average as Byron Dafoe's backup.

"John Grahame battled hard for us last season in a backup role and this season he will battle for the No. 1 job in training camp," O'Connell said.

Boynton played in all but two games for the Bruins last season, recording four goals and 14 points along with 108 minutes in penalties.

Brown split last season with the Edmonton Oilers and Bruins. In 12 games for Boston, he registered just one assist.
