I don't know about some of you met fans but i would like to get Livan. He is a post season warrior and can help us out alot during the wild card push. His last few starts were great and i would feel better going against other teams with a rotation of Leiter, Astacio ,Livan and trachsel. D'amico or estes should be traded those guys are horrible

No way in hell. The guy is one of those who plays when he feels like it.

But look at his post season stats. He is 5-0 and we need someone who is reliable in the clutch. I know he is lazy and over weight but when you need a big game he is there and delivers. I think with the way our team is going he can help alot. I wouldnt give up any top guys for him but maybe a Pat Strange and estes or d'amico as was reported in last nights Baseball Tonight

We have to get to the post-season first.
He's grossly out of shape and, like his brother, no one knows how old he is.
I'd be very disappointed if the Mets waste a prospect on him.

well does age really matter? Look at Schilling and Johson and Clemens and Leiter. The deal that was discussed was basically that the Giants want d'amico or estes and a prospect and the prospect being mentioned is Pat Strange who i feel isnt that great. Strange is an injury waiting to happen with his delivery angle. Mo vaughn said something yesterday that i found very interesting

Have you paid attention to Randy Johnson lately? He's been missing starts because of a bad back. Maddux was on the DL for the first time in his career earlier this season. Clemens is injured a lot more than he ever was. El Duque has been on the DL at least once a year for a couple of years now. They are all over 35.
Trust me, as someone older than all of them, when I say that age does matter. Your body does start to break down after 30, and the process accelerates after 35. Johnson and Clemens are pushing 40, and they will never be what they used to be. Having someone on your team whose age is unknown is not a good thing.
