Wow, good pickup for the Twins.....
Although Jones was having a tough year maybe he will be energized being dealt to a team on a playoff run.....

Yeah that was a good trade for the Twins. Jones was having a tough year, but I think he'll rebound to be very good down the stretch. They need Todd Jones to close out games under pressure and they also need his veteran presence. I really don't think Hawkins can handle the pressure, but that's just me .

From a Twins fan's perspective though, gotta wonder why a good, young arm was given up for Jones. In a small market setting you really can't afford to trade young pitchers because they can't be replaced. You don't have the bucks to go out and sign someone else. Nevertheless, the Twins are in a pennant race and are going for broke. Could hurt them though in 5 years.
