Sept. 14 = L. Had to make that correction.

Nebraska will lose 24-10 behind a Zack Mills led offense. Count on it.

I agree with Hyzdu. Penn State will pull the upset.

And Texas is going undefeated, so i'd change that one!

I agree with Hyzdu. Penn State will pull the upset.
This will not be an upset...PSU will pound 'em. Are you able to get tix for this one, Josh? This will probably be Big Red's first of several losses this season.

I agree with Bill, PSU winning against Nebraska is not an upset. I'm expecting it.

Haven't heard anything about Jamal Lord, and frankly I don't care. He may eventually turn into a great QB but he has no experience at the college level and doesn't face a real team until PSU. Arizona State isn't bad, they're respectable. He'll struggle in that game, and then he'll tear up Utah State and Troy State, which shouldn't be a surprise. :hmm:

62-36? I remember that game very well. I only hope it happens oh, 13 times this season.

Bill, I already have the tickets. My dad has been getting season tickets for a few years now, and I buy the tickets off him to the games I want to go to. Getting tickets won't be a problem. They're around Nebraska's fan section, so that might be a problem. :hmm:

Hell, AZ State might take it to 'em! A typical Nebraska non-conference schedule - Troy, McNeese, UT St...I guess they couldn't fit in Southwest Missouri State this season.

I actually have plans to be in that neighborhood around that time, but I'll miss that game by a week or so.

Give those Big Red fans hell, Josh! You gotta watch out for them, though - the women tend to wander out on the field to graze...

SW Missouri State's schedule must have been full this season.

I don't think I'll give any Nebraska fans hell. I'll let the play on the field speak for itself. That should keep them quiet. And if it's not, I'm sure PSU fans around me will give 'em hell.

Can't be any worse than Miami fans though. :hmm:

I disagree that Texas will go undefeated....
IMO Simms will choke in one of the big games...I am thinking that they will not get past OU......
Also, Texas lost a lot on D from last season...Still good, but not undefeated good....
I also think that Nebraska will turn Happy Valley into UN-Happy Valley;)

YEAH BABY!!!! Let the college talk begin!!!!

Good to see that Nebraska is scheduling those big name schools....

McNeese State and Troy State.

Whew, better watch out for them!

:hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

I cannot wait for the Nittany Lions to roll over their asses on September 14th.   :P :P :P

[B][QUOTE]It doesn't matter what they lost, every time lost key players, it matters what they still have. Simms is one of the most talented QB's in the country, Roy Williams is arguably the best receiver in the country, and B.J. Johnson is one of the best #2 receivers in the league. Cedric Benson had an unbeleivable freshman year, and is already being called better than Rickey Williams, and Earl Campbell. All American Cory Redding and Kalen Thornton are the best pair of D-Ends in the game, and Marcus Tubbs was second team all Big Ten. Saftey Nathan Vasher is also First team All American.

nobody wants to play Nebraska xcept these small schools, we have had Notre Dame, and Penn state now, we might be able to get Ohio State soon! But i guarntee you they have talked to the Miamis, Floridas, and those types of the world and been told no!

What makes you think that, James?

I don't see Nebraska winning. Their QB has no experience, and he'll be coming off two very soft defenses. I don't know anything about AZ State, but of the first four games I'd say PSU will be his toughest test.

I guess PSU coming off a 5-2 finish and returning their whole offense (one that averaged over 30 PPG over the last 6 games) for the most part wouldn't help PSU beat Nebraska against an inexperienced QB playing infront of the biggest crowd he's ever seen and the biggest stadium he's ever played in.

I just can't see Nebraska beating PSU by more than 7 points. If Nebraska wins, which I really really doubt, it will be a close game. Nebraska's not going to come into Happy Valley and blow PSU away, winning 38-14 or whatever other lopsided score you want to pick. And in a close game, I think the edge goes to the home team ... and we know who the home team is. ;)

Nothing mathmatical makes me think this except a hunch of an early season upset....I definitely agree that if UN wins it will be a close game...Should be close either way....

Of course it matters who you lose:hmm: It also does matter what they have.....They IMO, do not have what it takes to be an undefeated team...
I have yet to see anything from Simms that makes me think he is one of the more talented QB's in the country....
2 of Texas's biggest games last year (OU and Colorado) he threw 0 TD's and threw 7 INT's.....
Again, not saying that Texas is not a talented team, I just say they wont go undefeated, that all....

If Nebraska wins, I don't think that will be an "upset" since Nebraska will be ranked higher than PSU, unless they lose one of their first three games. Then I think PSU winning would be an upset in the national perspective. Personally, with the expectations PSU fans have, Nebraska winning is an upset. But nationally, a team ranked higher than PSU beating them wouldn't be considered an upset, unless like I said UN is 2-1 coming in.

Oh well, this will be moot come Sept. 15 because PSU's gonna beat 'em anyway.

Theoratically if PSU and Nebraska are both undefeated what do you think the pointspread would look like???

What, do you think I am a bookie? ;)

I have no idea, I think it'll depend. PSU only has one game before NU, so how bad they beat UCF will mean a lot (assuming, like you said, both are undefeated).

If both teams won by the amounts they should, I think Nebraska based on reputation and ranking will be 3 point favorites.

Dont underestimate them...They have played some good teams pretty tough the last few years....

I think Nebraska will be the favorite, as Josh stated, based on reputation. However, no one will be surprised at a PSU win.

As for the 'Huskers and the Big XII, I don't think anyone is going undefeated. Is it possible? Of course. Probable? I think not. You've got the Horns, Huskers, Buffs, Aggies, Wildcats, Red Raiders and maybe the Cyclones, plus the team everyone here seems to have forgotten (not including James): OKLAHOMA. I just don't see anyone coming out without a loss.

I'm worried about the UCF game, James. I think if PSU loses a game in the first two, then that'll be the game. I sure as heck JoePa and the rest of the coaches will be focusing on UCF, but you never know. While PSU prepares for Nebraska all summer, UCF is preparing for PSU.
