Who's the best College quarterback this year?
I gotta go with Louiville's Dave Ragone.

Grossman. Even without Spurrier he'll still be the best QB.
Second is Leftwich.
Smoker's also pretty darn good. Him and Rogers will be fun to watch if they're not playing PSU.

I voted for Dorsey...
He is 2nd in active players with 58 TD's (Byron Leftwich is #1 with 59) and he is 4th in passing yards....But the big thing I like about Dorsey is that he is a winner with a 26-1 record as a starter....Again, he does have the team around him but he makes them better...
I alos love Byron Leftwich but I dropped him a notch below Dorsey only because of the teams played factor....Dorsey overall plays better competition.....
Did you know though that Byron Leftwich has the alltime MAC record for total offense in a season with 4197 set last year...And if he has any kind of season close to that this year he will break Tim Leter's record of 11,081 yards of offense for a career??
He could also break several other MAC records this season for his career....
IMO, Grossman, like other UF QB's are overrated because of the offense style they play....Sorry, I'm just a Gator Hater:biggrin:

I would thoroughly agree with the Grossman comment, and I don't really dislike Florida all that much....

One reason i wouldn't look at Leftwich that highly, is because he's got arguably the best receiving core in the country, and he has no competition. That team really needs to move to the Big East, or C-USA if they ever want to be taken seriously.

How about Eli Manning??
Just having the Manning name should qualify him in this discussion:biggrin:
He is a good QB:thumbsup:

I realized that right after i made the poll. He is one of the best QB's in the game.

Yeah, I hadnt thought about him either until I saw the top positional players thread....I just heard an interview with Payton talking in detail about Eli and how Daddy told the school not to hype him for the Heisman....

Peyton was saying in an interview one time that he thinks Eli is ahead of where he himself was at, at that point in his career. I don't know how good a judge of talent Peyton is, but if he right, his brother is going to be a heck of a QB.
Oh yeah, I voted for Dorsey, I just think that he is darn good.
I don't know how Rix made the list of nominees. He throws the flutter ball better than anyone in college football.

I still think Ragone will be a good NFL QB, but i think Carson Palmer wil end up being the best. Maybe i'm being biased here, but i also think Jeff Smoker will be a decent starter in the pros.
