Our first chance to see Jon Gruden as the Bucs Head Coach, and Rickey Williams debute as the Dolphins starting running back. Too bad neither team had a first round pick to follow like last week!

Jon Gruden should bring a lot to this Bucs team, that they havn't had before, a great leader. Tony Dungy is really just a great Defencive coordinator IMO. And with big talkers, like Warren Sapp, and Keyshawn Johnson, they need a guy who they can't run over.

As for Williams, this will be the first, actual, quality, starting runningback they've had in a long time. I really see him being a pro bowler this year.

The Dolphins play tonight and then again in 4 days:confused:

Thats kinda a weird schedule, even for pre-season:confused:

:hmm: Hopefully no one gets injured. They shouldn't have so many pre season games. I'm with Edgerrin James's pre season games hold out. I wouldn't do it!

It's hard to pick a pre-season winner, but I'll say Tampa by a little, but honestly I doubt Rickey will get much work tonight.

Pre season scores mean little. It's how well the players perform that i watch for.

Only, it's hard to watch the game now. I tried watching Joey Harrington last week, and you can't see anything because Fox's new angle sucks. They moved it down so they could have the scores on top of the screen instead of on a corner!

I like Tony Dungy a lot, and I think Tampa screwed him royally.

Dungy was given every chance, and he didn't come threw with a Super Bowl. He was given all the money in the world, and didn't succeed. He was a verygood head coach, but Gruden is GREAT!

Forgive my ignorance, how many Superbowls has Gruden won?

He's been in the league shorter, and had less to work with, and is much better for this team. I guarantee you, that him, and Tampa Bay will win a Super Bowl w/in 3 years!

Hmmmm... I think Gruden had some talent to work with. But, I'll take your word for it Tiger Babe.;)

Not really if you look at it. He turned nobody's into somebodies, while Dungy did just the opposite. Gruden brought in a career backup QB in Rich Gannon, and turned him into an MVP candidate. He turned Tyrone Wheatly, and Charlie Garner into very good starters, and had a great passing attack with Tim Brown, and Jerry Rice, who are close to getting a senior discount a movie theatres. Plus, Dungy really wasn't respected by the players, they pretty much ran the team, he just called the plays.
