As you guys may probably know the Jazz's SF Marshall got signed to the Bulls. The Jazz also signed Matt Harpring. If you were the Jazz who would u wanna keep?

ok what im saying is...would YOU rather have a defensive-minded player or a scorer for the Jazz? Its hard to compare the 2 because they are very different. I wanted Harpring for the bulls because they are weak defensively and they needed a stopper

oh. i misunderstood the question. i would rather have a offensive player. i think the jazz need more scorers than defenders. but it is not what i want it is what the jazz need. what do u think the jazz should have

you know the jazz a LOT better than me man. you just answered your own question, too. You said you think the jazz need more scorers, so Marshall wouldve been a better fit.

i think Harpring is a much better fit. Not because of his strengh in defense, but because he can play SG. We need a SG. After we let Russell go, our only SG on the roster was DeShawn Stevenson. We picked up Cheany, who will probably start, but by picking up Harpring we got a player who can backup Cheany and Kirelinko, and be an effective backup too. And Harpring is the perfect player to play under Sloan. He's a hard worker and a hustler (and he's kinda dirty too :devillook). Hopefully he'll have a better career under Sloan then he has had under other coaches.

Marshall on the other hand, was a SF/PF. there's no question he's a better overall player than Harpring...but he's a SF/PF. he's not a jump shooter like Harpring is, so he can't be switched to start at SG like Harpring can. This is a problem because Andre Kirelinko is a SF too. Kirelinko is the future of the team and he NEEDS to be starting in future season, if not THIS season. he wouldn't be if Marshall was resigned. Keeping Marshall long term would be slowing AK47's development. And it's not like Utah never offered Donyell a contract, in fact we offered him a pretty good one...7 mil a year for like 3 years, and Marshall acted offended by it. I commend Larry Miller for sticking with his offer and not budging (ala what the Maloof brothers are doing in the Mike Bibby situation).
