Can someone create an avatar of a skull with the cross or x-I get it confused and then put under it Crimson Tide Motto - Death before Defeat. Just wondering. Thanks

Haha, ya' got me confused, too. Do you mean the skull and crossbones, like the Jolly Roger pirate flag thing? Or just a skull with the red slash through it, as in 'No skulls' ?

Also, do you want it to read:

Crimson Tide Motto -
Death before Defeat

or just:

Death before Defeat

Yes I want to use it on this site and others if I can. The one with the Skull and Crossbones is too, along with the Alabama Crimson Tde and Death before Defeat-I saw it changing back and forth-is that how it comes. If so that is fine.

I've posted two different pics, and they have names -

#1 - skull_dbd.gif

#2 - bama_ani.gif

Is there one you like better?

If there is one you like better, how exactly would you like me to change it?

If I can change something to make it the way you want it, just let me know. We aim to please. I've got a feeling you want something different, but I'm just not grasping what you're trying to say.

btw - where did 'Death before Defeat' come from? Haven't heard that in connection with the Tide before.

It's an original idea by me. You gave me exactly what I wanted. You are a genius. By the way Alabama ought to buy that "Death before Defeat" from me lol

Actually, I've been out of the Army for almost 30 years, but I do remember that the motto 'Death Before Defeat' belonged to a storied regiment of the 63rd Infantry Division which got it's ass shot off by the Germans in some shit-hole of a French town in 1945. It's been retired by all of the armed services - no other units can use it.

Great story but I didn't get my idea from that.
