I've posted this in several places so sorry if you're reading this again or again and again http://forum.addictsports.com/baseball/ubb/smile.gif

Kansas City's Jermaine Dye to the Mets
The Mets appear unwilling to move veterans for younger players, but this deal would make sense. Dye would add a needed bat to the outfield for next year. The Mets could afford to lose players like Todd Zeile, Rich White and Steve Trachsel. If that is enough for the Royals, this deal could be done by the deadline.
----------------------------------------
Don't put too much stock in an ESPN rumor, but isn't the thought great? I know some of you love Toddles, but we can move Piazza to first next season and call up Dicky and Grant. I just have to say though, that if this comes to pass, then the Royal GM is f'n NUTS. No way would I do this. Anyone know Dye's contractual info. If he's FA next season, no sense in doing this unless it's a long-term contract. It's not like we need to rent an outfielder this season.
