Closing Thread

i think it woould be cooler if the person who wrote a thread should be able to close it. i know u guys are prob gonna say that is y we have mods, but i want to hear your opinion

That's why we have moderators.

Seriously, if the person who started the thread could also close it, then there would be a lot of misinterpretations of what a personal attack is, and people would abuse the power so to speak. Like if you and I got into a disagreement, and you thought it was a personal attack, you'd close it; whereas I didn't intend for it to be an attack, and the mod didn't interpret it that way either. IMO, it should be the mod's decision on whether or not a thread should be closed, not whoever started it.

I agree with Josh. You can't have everyone under the sun able to lock threads.
