Sammy Sosa wants the Chicago Cubs to "clean up the mess" after another losing season and restock the roster with players who can make the team a contender.

"No question they got to clean the house, including myself. If I got to go, if somebody has got to go, no matter," Sosa said Monday. "They got to bring in some new people next year, people who want to go out there and give it the effort we are looking for.

"I don't want next year to be the same in September and then go home. Hopefully, next year they clean up the mess they need to clean and, you know, we go to the playoffs."

The cubs have a team they just need to play like a team and quit pointing fingers. I think they have a pretty good team at that now they just have a manager to put it all together.

Thats a good point. I think their starting rotation is great, with Wood, Lieber, Clement, Prior, and others. Alou, McGriff, Sosa, and all them are great additions to a lineup too.

But they just haven't been getting it done... :clap2: :D :cool:

i just hate sammy comments to the cubs. If you don't get me a contender here I am walking. If i were the Cubs I would say goodbye. Just as long as sammy don't wind up in cardinal uniform.:barf:
