Both the illustrious OOgie, and Embree gave up save blowing HR's last night.

WTG a-holes.:angry:

Among the various things we need next year, CLOSER has to top the list. These frauds we have now ain't getting it done.

I suppose I'm not venting because I don't care. Ooginator had gone a few saves without blowing one, so he was due. And Alan Embree...well, he just plain sucks. Too bad Wake didn't get the win. Another great outing by him.

Any good closers about to enter the free agent market? Oh wait, we can't afford anyone else. Nevermind.

Now that's the Babs I know. :D I dunno if there's any good closers out there, like you said, who knows what these new owners plan on spending? My guess is they're gonna chop payroll.

Maybe we can convert Arrojo or Castillo to closer. :rotf:

Chop that salary, baby!!! Next year should be a rebuilding year. No playoff expectations. I can live with that if we lose all the deadweight at the top of the salary list.

Besides, isn't our owner the former owner of the Marlins? You don't have to tell THEM how to chop salary!

I don't know Benetiz too well, but judging by how well the Mets are doing this year, we'll pass on the offer. :D
