Congrats to Jim Thome. Tonight he hit his 51st homer to set a new club record previously held by Albert Belle. WAY TO GO JIMMY!!! Now we just need to resign him.

Thome is a rare player. How many players have 50 homers, strike out over 100 times, and still almost hit .280? On another board I post at, Pirates fans are salivating over the prospects of signing Thome. Yeah, we know it's not likely, just hot stove talk.

Didn't Dibble need to get a tatoo on his ass last year because he said Ichiro wouldn't win a batting title?

Maybe Dibble can get one of Estes if he hits so many batters next season. ;)

Well, Thome finished the season at 52 homers (I saw number 52 in person :D ) and finished the season hitting over .300. I can't stand to even think what the Tribe would be like next year if he leaves.
