Don't know if I heard it right, but the BoSox may be looking for a new skipper. More to come, I'm sure...

This pisses me off.....The Sox are my favorite AL team as I used to live in Mass. and all Williams does is get them in the position to make the playoffs every year coming in 2nd every year since he has been at Boston except his 1st year....He has this team only 2 games out of the playoff race with virtually the whole team on the DL at some point or another and arguably the best hitter in baseball and the best pitcher in baseball have missed a month or more of time and yet they still find a way to win!!!
Great job Sox, fire your manager in the middle of a playoff race:angry:

Some of this is linked to his continued use of Beck as a closer, considering that they aquired Urbina and he is a legit closer. In fact, he has not given up a run yet as a Bosox reliever, yet Williams kept running out other arsonists late in the game to the detriment of his club. Just my take...

This is one of the better write-ups on the situation I've seen...a pretty good read.
