Very nice comeback win tonight in a 6-0 victory over the Rangers.
Morozov and Lemieux had two goals apiece. Robitaille and Tanstrom combined on the other two goals.
Kovalev, Lemieux, Tarnstrom, and Morozov all had 3+ point games.
Aubin had a shutout.
Who is this Dick Tarnstrom guy? He didn't play in the first game (that I noticed), but he had three points tonight.
The Penguins play Toronto again Monday night. Hopefully the Penguins get their revenge.

Thanks so much for crushing the Rangers. It was the only good thing about last night for me. I had to watch Jaromir Jagr beat my Islanders.

It was nice to see the Pens bounce back like that.
I really hope that Lemieux and kovie continue to play on the same line. I liekd the balance of the lines, but at the same time, we were lacking that one big scoring line..

I think you did....In another thread I made a proposal concerning ones avatar or sig on which team has the most points at the end of the hockey season gets to choose the others avatar or sig or both....:D

I agree Shawn.
Balance is nice, but I don't think the Penguins can be worried about balance at this point. They need to score goals. If it means overloading one line, then so be it.
I really think once Straka comes back, the Pens can balance the lines more with Straka, Lemieux, Kovalev, and Morozov. But for now, put the best LW, C, and RW on one line and worry about the rest later.

i totally agree... if you can get 2 or 3 goals a night from your top line, then you shouldn't need much more than that from the rest of them. Just solid defense.. and good positioning.
Straka will be a MUCH needed lift on this team.

Straka will definitely be a lift. ESPECIALLY on the power play to bring the puck up, control it, and all of that stuff the Penguins' defenseman can't do.

One thing you need to know about me is that, no matter how certain I am of victory, I NEVER bet more than I can afford to lose.

Josh.. I am not 100% sure, but i believe that Tarnstrom was picked up on waivers during the last week of camp.

Oh ok. Do you know anything else about him? Was three points in a game a fluke for him? Is he a defenseman that can score, or can we expect him to take three more weeks to get three points?

well.. I would say it is sort of a mirage.... but it is tough to tell. Last season, he scored 3 goals and 16 assists in 62 games with the Islanders.
Will a chance to play on an offensive minded team change that though?? We'll find out.

I thought the Islanders were fairly goal oriented too. Maybe not as much as the Penguins, but I don't think the difference is so big that he'll go from 19 points in 62 games to 40 in 80 some, however many hockey plays.
