Well, JoePa has done his share of *****ing. But now, Randy Walker of Northwestern? His team sucks enough as is, but I guess they need to blame it on the officiating to make themselves feel better....
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern football coach Randy Walker is the latest Big Ten coach to complain about officiating.
He called Penn State's holds "significant and blatant'' and suggested officials ignored four clips in the Wildcats' 49-0 loss to the Nittany Lions on Saturday.
One of those "clips'' could cost safety Dominique Price playing time because of a badly sprained ankle.
"I don't know how you don't see them. It's just real disappointing,'' Walker said Monday.
He isn't alone. Criticism of league officials has mounted this season.
Penn State (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today, No. 18 AP) officials called for a comprehensive review of Big Ten officiating after the Nittany Lions' Oct. 12 overtime loss at Michigan.
Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany has said he'll consider a number of measures, including instant replay, to help football officials do their job.
Walker acknowledged the calls would not have done anything to change the outcome of the Penn State game. The Wildcats are 2-6 overall and 0-4 in the Big Ten.
