Those are good PT.....
Watson is good and he played a lot of OF also....
I'd like to throw in Glen Davis as an honorable mention at 1B.....Too bad the Stros couldnt keep Lee May as he had 3 very good season with the Stros....
Also, I'd also like to give JR Richards honorable mention as a SP as he could have been one of the great ones.....Man, could this guy strike people out....
Also as my closer I will take Dave Smith.....

Guru --- I bow before you and accept JR on the staff ... I thought I had posted a 4-man staff and he was there to begin with.
Glenn "The Pop Up Machine" Davis can be a reserve ... Lee May would be hunky dory with me since I could move Watson to the OF from time to time as you suggested.
But I'm drawing the line on Dave "Fat" Smith ... As good as he may look on the back of a baseball card, he was a choker with a really big game on the line ... I'll take Billy "Groove An Oh-Two Pitch" Wagner and Octavio "Lima Taught Me All I Know" Dotel, plus a few others (Dave Giusti, Fred Gladding, Charley Kerfeld) before I'd let Dave Smith in the clubhouse!

I find it funny that Bill James considers Craig Biggio to be the best player ever, yet he isn't even the guy picked as your 2nd baseman.. (of course, I would take Morgan ANY day...)
I have to question your ommissiono of Jeff Bagwell. Having never seen Watson play, I am wondering why you consider him to be better than Bags...

Imgreat --- Note title of thread, inactive being a very key word ... I can see listing both Biggio and Bagwell over my picks ... They are without a doubt the two top players in franchise history
One player I've forgotten that I would have to figure out someway to get on the team is Rusty Staub ... Trading him and Mike Cuellar were the beginnings of the franchise's early decline ... And we can all thank Spec Richardson for that!

Here comes the Braves fan to wreck havoc on the Astros like always..........
I do have to say Biggio is one of the best to come from Houston but Bagwell, come on, I just have never liked the guy one bit. If i ever get him on a fantasy team i trade him for someone else quick. But thats just my .02 cents.

Maxima --- Wreak havoc in here all you want ... But I'm interested in exactly why you've developed this somewhat mysterious distaste for Baggy? ... He's a fairly quiet guy who is your basic stud on offense and defense (where I think he's highly underrated) ... It certainly can't be due to him getting a hit to defeat Atlanta in the playoffs!
Again, feel free to drop in the Astros forum anytime and offer up your two cents ... Another 50 visits here andyou'll be up to a buck, and we all know what a buck can buy these days :)

To be honest i cant pinpoint it. There is just something about him I do not like.
I have had him on a couple fantasy teams and have never kept him. Usually the guy i get at 1B does a much better job then he does, but thats not the reason I dont like him.
It definately isnt the reason u stated about the hit to win a game/series against Atlanta. Cause if I remember ya'll havent gotten past us in the playoffs recently but i just might be thinking of another Houston Astros team. Ya never know!!!:)
