Daaaaaamn, way too many good games this weekend!
That Michigan - Ohio State game should be fantastic...
That sucks that Penn State plays at the same time as Auburn - Alabama...looks like the remotes going to be getting a royal workout on Saturday!
And who can belive that Miami is favored by 20 against Shitt? That seems a bit too high....

if miami plays their best its not too high. but i doubt they will.
id be surprised if auburn kept it close. bama is a lot better than them.
oh st - michigan is gonna be the best game.
i wanna watch texas tech - oklahoma. ok's passing defense isnt THAT good. id like to see texas tech pull the upset. prolly wont happen though....
GO VANDY!!! keep it within 20!!
why are a bunch of rivalry games this weekend and a bunch next weekend? has that always happened?

It's gonna take a hell of a game from Klingsbury for that to happen.....
You'll be able to see it anyways since you'll be back in Big XII country...:hmm:
I think Auburn keeps it close....
I think it's partially been this way in the past with the rivalry games, but I'm not certain...oh well...

Pitt out played Miami in almost every facet of the game tonight, except for the turnover battle, which is what gave Miami the win, I think. If Rutherford doesn't fumble in the red zone, I thinkt hat Pitt walks away with a win in this one. Pitt's biggest problem tonight was that they just gave up a few too many big plays. (although there was a very obvious block in the back on the long TD run to open the 2nd half. If Rutherford is more on target on a couiple of throws, I think that it is a much different outcome. On two occasions a receiver who had beaten his man (one by a good 7 yards) had to stop and wait for the ball to get to him. If he leads the receivers, at least one of those is a TD.
The last play of the game, I think would have also been a TD if it were on target. The receiver was W I D E open....
Oh well.. a well played game as Rod Rutherford passed for 211 yards against a defense which came into the game giving up only 106.
I just don't see how you can run 84 plays to your opponents 48 and still lose the game...
I think though, that Pitt MUST move up in the rankings after this game. If they are not moved ahead of V-Tech, I will be HIGHLY pissed.

Shawn, I disagree on Rutherford. Yes, you can say if he was on target, then there may be a different outcome. But, if Rutherford didn't run for what, 70 yards?, then Pitt, IMO, loses by more than two touchdowns. To me, Rutherford kept Pitt in the game, not lose the game for Pitt.
I have to say Pitt played Miami a lot tougher than I thought they would. I was expecting a 14+ margin of victory. And I also have to say Fitzgerald will be a star, in case anyone didn't know that. ;)

Josh, I did not even imply that Rutherford was the reason we lost. I said if he had been on target on a couple of throws that we would have WON... that is an undeniable FACT.

Every QB misses several throws every single game of the season. So why play the what if game? To me it does no good to say "if he had been on target, then ... ." If Dorsey was on target in the first half, Miami wins comfortably. Every QB misses throws in every single game, so what is the point in saying if this happened, then ...? You can't expect Rutherford to make EVERY throw against any team, let alone against the #1 team in the nation on the road.

Josh, get your head out of your ass and pay attention to what I am saying. I am talking about two throws in particular. One, where Rutherford missed a receiver who was 7 yards ahead of his receivers... Two the last play of the game where he overthrew a wide open receiver in the endzone. Am I blaming him for the loss?? NO... I am saying that those two throws would have made the difference in the game. See, Josh, there is a difference between what Rutherford did and what Dorsey did. Dorsey was FORCED into some bad throws because of the defense. Rutherford underthrew and overthrew a wide open receiver. No, I am not saying I expect Rutherford to be perfect. And I am not saying that those throws lost the game. I said that they COULD HAVE WON THE GAME!! Which is true. You can't deny that.

oh... and josh.... the "what if" game is what they call part of a post-game analysis. Maybe you have heard of them.

Since I "have my head up my ass," :hmm: I guess there's no point in responding.
