I'm always ready for the holidays, especially now ... When I get to spend 5 straight nights at home with my lady next week, it will be my longest stretch since back in August.
Weird, but the tradition in our family has the big Thanksgiving Dinner on Friday so we can all be there ... You know how these New York Italian in-laws can be about wanting everyone around the table at the same time ... On Thursday, Patty and her sisters make chicken enchiladas for the masses while the men are off working (drinking) and chopping firewood (fishing) ... Can't wait.

Ha! I'm going for 20,000.
We're having the usual Italian Thanksgiving. Raviolis, meatballs, sausage, pork, Turkey, Ham, every veggie conceivable, 5 pies, cakes, brownies, cookies, etc...
Hell, I'll drink 10,000 calories!

20,000?? I will eat that in deserts alone... Holy Cow.... in my family, there is usually at least 1 1/2 pies per person... THEN, going to Lori's house... my goodness.. I will be lucky to get out without eating 100,000 that day...
of course, 10,000 is about my normal daily intake..:D

Golly, I'm going to have to see if my sister still has the photo of me eating an entire plate of food in one bite (shovel?) one Turkey Day ... I think it was that kinda' talent that eventually won my wife over
