Christmas shopping: who has started? finished? waiting til the day before??

so i noticed some of you have mentioned Christmas shopping....... *sigh* i can't even think about it, i'm still working on Thanksgiving! :hmm:


so who here has started?? and did i read correctly that one or more of you have FINISHED??? :eek::eviltongu

I've started, but only some catalog shopping for the wife ... If I don't get at least a little bit out of the way now, I'll never make it.

my dad and mom are pretty much set as is my grandma. All i got left is my dog and sister. and my aunt and uncle which my mom will help pick out. oh and my best friends little daughter

It's very, very unusual for me, but I got it all done by getting stuff for people while I was in Scotland. I realized when I got back that I could use all that stuff as their Christmas presents!!!

I do have two people left that I have to buy for, but that will take no time at all.

Gee. I won't know what to do with the time I normally spend last minute shopping once I get to Minneapolis!:umm

My family's Hanukkah party is next Saturday. I think everyone will just get an envelope with money in it. :(

We were hoping that Bobby would get to court so we could buy Christmas presents but that's not looking like it's gonna happen in time, but I go to court Tuesday and my lawyer thinks their gonna owe me some money. I'm hoping the Judge makes an example of this insurance company for letting me go through hell for the last 8 months and fines the shit out of them. BTW, if they get fined, I get the money. So, Won't really know until Tuesday if we'll be having a late Christmas or not.

I'm almost done. Nephew and niece are the biggest recipients of my largesse this year (as they are every year). I no longer exchange gifts with my brother and sister-in-law -- it gets far too expensive for me to buy for 4 people, when they only have to buy for 1. Dad's done, one of my best friends is done. That leaves Mom and 2 friends. Mom should be done before I leave for Thanksgiving.

That leaves me with most of December to shop for 2 gifts! I can hardly believe my efficiency. And yes, Internet shopping rules.

lol yeah, like i started that yet :hmm: i'll take care of christmas gifts after i finish up hanukkah shopping (which will probably be the 21st since we're celebrating the 22nd). but i did decide what i wanted my sis to buy me for christmas :idea: gonna get me a dvd, hopefully one that also plays tapes so i don't have to rebuy all my stuff and i can tape tv shows and stuff :clap2:

Wow... I haven't even thought about Christmas shopping! I only need to get about 7 presents or so, by my count. Unfortunately, I'll probably do it all in the 5 days before the big day.
