MONTREAL (AP) - The Montreal Expos hired former infielder Brad Mills as the team's bench coach Friday.

Mills who played 106 games for the Expos from 1980-83. The move completed manager Frank Robinson's staff for 2003. Another former Expos player, Randy St. Claire, was named pitching coach on Dec. 4.

Mills served as first-base coach for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1997 to 2000. Last season, he managed Triple-A Las Vegas to an 85-59 record.

The Expos also named Nilson Robledo as bullpen catcher to replace Carlos Luis Perez, who was fired after he pleaded guilty on Dec. 3 to drug possession with intent to export.

Perez was arrested at Olympic Stadium on Sept. 27 with a half-kilogram of marijuana.
