Cardinals sign Miguel Cairo

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals agreed to a one-year contract with infielder Miguel Cairo on Friday, avoiding salary arbitration.
Cairo batted .250 with two homers and 23 RBIs during the regular season, but hit .529 in the playoffs.
On Thursday, the Cardinals signed utility player Eduardo Perez to a $500,000 for next season with an additional $100,000 possible in incentives.
Perez hit .201 with 10 homers and 26 RBIs last season.
