:evillol :D

anyway, i voted for Stockton (obivously a bit biased) :D

Stock is the All-Time leader in assists and steals, and is one of the best floor generals EVER. Isn't that exactly what defines a good point guard...assists, leadership, and playmaking? Magic was the better basketball player of the two, and he was more flashy and scored more points and won more rings, but in terms of being a pure point guard, Stockton has him beat. Look at Stock's career assists number and compare it to the nearest player...there is a difference of 5,255. That's an awfully large difference. True Stock has played a hell of a lot longer than Magic had, but isn't that too his credit as well? He has been a consistent and effective poing guard over a span of nearly two decades. His work ethic and dedication is admirable. Aside from the 18 games he missed due to knee surgery in 98 (his only serious injury in his entire career), he's missed 4 games (all of which in the same year) in 19 seasons thus far.

And even at the age of 40, he's one of the best PGs in the league. His stats may be lower, but his control of the game and the intangables he brings is still as good as ever. How many other PGs in the league leave games with their team up 19 and return a couple minutes later with the team down 7? That happens a lot on the Jazz, and it has a lot to do with Stockton.
