anyone else watch?

once again, i was highly unimpressed. If i had no idea who was playing nor knew any of the players, im sure id sit there and say hey that kids pretty good for a high schooler. but considering all the hype he has gotten, his game leaves a lot to be desired.

once again his jump shot wasnt good. only this time it was terrible. he was 0-9 at one point from behind the arc... not sure what kind of team player keeps throwing up bricks. he wasnt able to drive the lane against the smaller high school players. yea he was being guarded by DJ Strawberry who is going to a great college program next year, but if you cant drive on a high school senior, you aint driving on an NBA player.

the only time he consistently scores is underneath the basket. yea that sure is easy being twice as big as the kids you are playing, but he is too short to battle down low in the NBA. 6'7 is tall, but its not NBA tall. He is too short to play C or PF. He is going to have to be a SF or SG. And if he cant score consistently from outside of 10 feet, i dont know how he will be effective in the NBA. Unless he is still growing.

and again his defense was lacking. too many high schoolers were able to drive on him.

he does have an NBA body and he does move pretty well for a guy his size. But thats all he is. Great potential but seriously lack game. But thats the story of the NBA these days.

Strawberry's son did a good job on putting pressure on James and keep him to 21 points. I agree with you about James, it will be LONG road for him if he decide to bypass college and go straight to the NBA. I think he would be better off going to College for couple of years.
