until the pens open up camp... hockey season is starting everywhere...


AND.. the Pens FINALLY signed Johan Hedberg to a long term deal... Let's hope it was a good move...

I saw on SportsBeat last night that Hedberg may or may not be able to be in camp on time. He's having problems with his visa, a la Jose Guillen a few years ago. Figures that the Pens finally sign him and now he might not make it in on time.

Josh, it's ok now... the problem that hedberg was having with his VISA was directly related to him not having a contract. In order for him to get a work visa, he had to have an employer. Without a contract, he legally did not have an employer. He could have gotten a 3 month visa, but then he would have had to go back to sweden after 3 months... get a new working visa... then return. which would be a lot of unnecessary work.

But with the contract, it's all good now.
