Hey guys................I know i havent been around at all lately but I had been at home where i dont have a computer(I leave mine at school). Hope you all had a great Christmas and didnt party too much on New Year's.

My break was O.K. besides the fact that i was in the ER for a day at the tender age of 22 with kidney stones..................anyhow....

My guestion...since Kile, who got seven votes (1.4), was among several players who did not receive the necessary 5 percent to stay on the ballot, is he kicked off and sent to the the veterans committee next year like all the others that dont get 5 percent. Or does he get a chance again when he becomes eligble after the normal waiting period??

Kile's inclusion in this years ballot was a sincere gesture on the part of the HOF towards Kile's family. It's something that they can remember the rest of their lives. Kile won't be seen on another ballot, nor be considered by the Veteran's Committee. If he could have played longer, and didn't stop off at Coors Field, who knows? But at the time of his passing, the numbers just weren't there. He was a damn good man, though.

As cold as this is going to sound, the mere fact anyone voted for him should demonstrate the complete absurdity of this whole dang process ... You pay your respects to people while they're alive and then to their family when they have passed ... You do NOT vote for anyone just to be nice or, in the case of whoever the moron was a couple of years ago that voted for Jim DeShaies, to be funny.

That the HOF waived the waiting period for Kile this year is one thing; that anyoen voted for him out of sympathy to his family or truly thought he was HOF caliber is another.
