Tollberg Agrees to Contract With Padres

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Right-hander Brian Tollberg, who was in San Diego's rotation until undergoing reconstructive elbow surgery in June, agreed to a minor league contract on Friday with the Padres.
Tollberg was invited to spring training with the big league club and will earn $350,000 if he makes the team. He was 1-5 with a 6.13 ERA in 12 appearances last year, including 11 starts.
