Just curious what is being heard out there in Boston about Shea getting traded. I had the privelege of meeting him when he was in the minors and really liked the enthusiasm he had for baseball. the kid just loves to play regardless if he is in the majors or in a sandlot. I am just hoping he gets sent somewhere that he will get to play full time as sitting behind Bill mueller would likely kill him.

I know, a Yankee cheering for a ChowderHead is wrog, but Shea is cool. I would love to see him in Houston manning the hot corner.

Shea isn't a Chowderhead. He's from freaking Arizona.

The only way the Sox trade him is in a package for Colon.

In other words, he's staying in Boston. Where we love our chowder, thank you.

Do you see him getting 500 AB's with the signing of Mueller? It sounds like management is unwilling to stick with him despite some of the progress he made. I am curious what is being said in Boston?

Mueller was only signed as insurance in case Shea were to get traded. Shea will get 500 AB's if he stays, and Mueller will be a platoon dude.

Just curious, Al, but are you in the Houston area?

Don't think he's coming here; Hunsicker's looking for arms in exhange for probably Daryle Ward.

No I actually have never been to Houston, but like to keep tabs on the team. I had the chance to learn a little bit from Mike Scott when I was in junior high ball and have always been interested in the Stro's. I particularly loved them in the mid-80's when they had a bunch of blue-collar workers on the team. man I thought Tim Foley was cool when he was with them.
