Cota and House are the future. With the season lost and Kendall having a terrible season and nagging injury, why not put him on the 15-day DL?

There is no need to put anyone on the Dl in September since a team can expand its roster all the way to 40 if they wish.

Can you really see the Pirates telling Jason Kendall to go home? He'd probably start crying and demand a trade done by the next day.
