Well, Pete lost. :( It's too bad..after he beat Andre and then Saffin..but Hewitt played flawless tennis. He really deserved to win and he's so young! 20!!!

I didn't watch the whole thing, but Pete was into the match in the first set. Was it just me or did he seem to lose interest in the second set? He just seemed so defeated. It's hard to watch. He was my fave tennis player and it's difficult to see him start to lose it.

Yea, in the first set he was really into it, right up there with Hewitt. Hewitt won the first set on a tiebreak and after that, he was on fire. Pete would play a minute or two of good tennis and then just back off. The majority of his points were from his aces. The crowd kept cheering for him and trying to rev him up, but he looked so tired and out of it. Hewitt was so good, though. He was all over the court. Oh well. Maybe next year. (Well, actually I primarily root for Agassi...so Andre for next year!! ;) )
