last night, i played what may have been the roughest game of my short hockey career. We quickly fell behind 2-0 in the first period before tying it at 2 with 3 seconds left in the period. That was the last goal we would score as the other team went on to score 6 more!!! They were a good team, but there is no way it should have been that bad. The big difference though was in the fact that they played in the summer league whereas we did not. Thus, they were in much better condition to handle the heat.
Which brings me to the tough part. At game time, it was 87 stinking degrees!!! I had to run a at least a shift and a half and sometimes a double shift a total of 6 times over the game because of scotty bowman's bad back! It is definately not something that i want to do again. Especially in that kind of heat as i went to work last night after the game, i was still unable to feel my legs under me. This morning, so far, it is not much better. Heat cramps are the WORST!!! And hard to get rid of at that....
oh well... I am going to try and get some sleep now to get rid of them.
