Giants Agree to Deal With Left-Hander Moss
SAN FRANCISCO -- Left-hander Damian Moss and the San Francisco Giants avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.55 million contract.
The Giants acquired Moss from Atlanta on Dec. 17 along with a minor leaguer in exchange for right-hander Russ Ortiz.
Moss went 12-6 with a 3.42 ERA in his rookie campaign for the Braves last season. He made $215,000 last season.
Moss, an Australian, is expected to take Ortiz's spot in the NL champions' rotation.
