In his first successful attempt since 1992, Lloyd McClendon stole a base last night.
He stole first, to be exact, and took it with him into the dugout, throwing it down the stairs into the tunnel leading to the clubhouse.
Now, maybe it should be autographed and sold at auction with the proceeds going to charity. This will be one of the memories of PNC that will live on for ever!
The important thing lost in the incident, was the fact that Lloyd was quick to get the umps attention off of Jason Kendall, keeping JK from being ejected.
Atta boy Lloyd, we've questioned alot of what you have done this year, but standing up for your ballplayers isn't one of them...
