how does one go about changing the "status" line? I notice many people seem to have pithy little self-scripted stuff there. Is that another "perk" once I reach a certain number of posts?
Are there any other "easter eggs" for reaching various platueaux?

Custom User Text:
This is the title that appears beneath your name on your posts.
You may enter up to 25 characters.
Check the reset box if you wish to use the the default title for your usergroup and post count.
HTML is not allowed. Current title:
thats what your looking for. its underneath your birthdate

I believe you need over 200 posts to change that text.

Yes, Nut is correct...
At 200 posts you can change your user title:)
Thanks, I had been wondering that myself....

Okay, i've got more than 200 posts(woohoo!), but the custom user text option hasn't appeared. Am I doing something wrong, or do I need more than 200 posts?

Obri, just go now to your "user cp" at the top of any page, then go to "edit profile" then you will see about half way down "custom user title"..
Plug in anything you want there....:)
Sorry James, but it's not there. I've got the optional info(signature etc, Yahoo messenger etc), then i've got personal info(occupation, interests etc), but there's nothing in either about "custom user title".

it should be right under the birthdate in optional info
'Fraid not r500. Birthday is the last option that appears under Optional Information in my profile. Any suggestions as to why it hasn't appeared?

I believe that there is also a minimum number of days a person must be registered before a custom user text can be used (in addition to number of posts). James may be able to check on that.
That would make sense RockieBill. I have been here for just less than 2 weeks, so I think you could be right. Thanks for your help.

Ah yes, I forgot that I have it set for 30 days minimum to be a member at the site......
A little more than 2 weeks away Daniel:)

I can't wait that long!:D
Thanks Guru.

Sorry about that...
I changed it to 250 posts minimum about a month ago to coincide with the next level for a title change....
Rookie Ball Player (Minimum Posts: 0)
A Ball Player (Minimum Posts: 100)
AA Ball Player (Minimum Posts: 250)
AAA Ball Player (Minimum Posts: 500)
Major Leaguer (Minimum Posts: 1000)
All Star (Minimum Posts: 2000)
Hall of Famer (Minimum Posts: 5000)
Once one gets the the AA level, he or she may edit their user title....
