Last season, while other Mets were falling short of expectations, Armando Benitez quietly had another very good year with a 2.27 ERA and 33 saves. The big guy was consistent from Opening Day until the end of the season and, with his combination of pitches, has become one of the top relievers in the league.

Mets fans know that if and when their favorite team does overtake the Braves and win the NL East, one of the big reasons will be Benitez's ability to finish off opposing batters.

But all that success has made it more difficult for you to start your fantasy league team with the man who closes games for the Mets. This year, you are going to have be smarter and better prepared than ever to have a competitive team.

Well, you've come to the right place.

MLB.com Fantasy Baseball is here again with the best games and constantly updated information and tools that you need to manage your team for bucks and braggin' rights. You will find in-depth team-by-team previews, Fantasy 411 analysis from MLB Radio, player-specific news around the clock, expert columns, sortable statistics and more.

If you were here last year, then you saw MLB.com roll out signature games throughout the season so you have a variety of ways to show friends how much you know. Expect even more challenging and fun games in 2003. It is a true one-stop rotoshop where you can manage your team and find the edge to win it.

Ummm I think the Phillies have more pieces of the puzzle to dethrone the Braves then the Mets do......

I love Cliff, but him and Piazza can't win it. Maybe the lean and mean MO will help and I would guess Reyes will help sometime this year--the sooner the better. In reality though-- Mets looking like 3rd place and 15 games behind second place.

I remember a time as a kid when the Mets came to Philly expected to clinch the East-- I believe for four games and all they needed was one game and the Phils swept the Mets. I think the reaction of the Mets fans that came down here is part of the reason I don't like NY teams (ripping seats out).

dISCLAIMER: i AM not A pHILLY fAn

Since your guessing----
Braves ----YUK!!!!
I like Chipper though, very nice guy.

I did claim the Marlins until they traded Cliff.
I had told the Marlins I would be faithful as long as they kept Cliff----
Jeff Loria and David Samson really are idiots and I thought John Henry would take care of him again--- but not the case. I have emailed David Samson and ripped him a new ass and he replied to me twice after I let him have it.

I am a CLIFF FLOYD FAN ___ My Religion of being an Eagles Fan
(I bleed green) prohibits me from liking any NY teams. I like the City but not the teams........ I am sure Cliff will understand.

I am hoping he will introduce me to Piazza though.
