How could you guys be so negative??? This team could definetly do it...heck...the angels did it!!
That's true, I certainly didn't have my money on the Angels at the start of last season. But none of us could have accounted for that. Therefore I still don't think that 2003 is the Mets' year.

Obri, last year, on paper it looked like it was going to be the Mets year. But look what happened. :hmm: Inabilities to make the transition from the American League.....recovering from injuries.....new personalities not able to gel.....lack of management.........
Who knows what could happen this year. Yes, the team looks very good on paper. But as Benjamin Franklin once said, it's better to be a pessimist than an optimist. That way you're never disappointed, only pleasantly surprised.
I love this team and will always support them. I just don't like to get my hopes up.
Robin, first of all great picture in the Picture thread. I spent about 20 mins going through them all earlier.
I don't question that the Mets will improve, especially Alomar and Vaughn, but I just don't see tham improving enough to make the playoffs. Sorry.:(
