Remember this place? (http://www.roadsidephotos.com/rp/ballparks/dettiger.htm)
Some great pictures there phenom. I've never had the privelege of visiting Tiger Stadium, but my friend visited it and Comerica. He was astounded by the still excellent condition of the ballpark. Is it still being used for anything, or are there any plans to tear it down?

We all still miss the old place. Obri, Tiger Stadium remains in a holding pattern. The city can't agree on what to do with it or who should do it. Basically, it's entangled in local politics.

I loved Tiger Stadium. Used to go there quite a bit. Could actually sit out of the sun for a full afternoon.
btw, those pictures are not mine, I found them elsewhere

It would have been nice if Ilitch would have built the same kind of stadium as was TS. Comerica is fine, and an even better brand of baseball will be played now that the fence is coming in, IMO. Man, I miss that place. I only went there about 5 or 6 times, but man, you talk about baseball euphoria. Yes, it was sort of falling apart, but the main enjoyment of going to see the Tigers was going TO Tiger Stadium. Great place.

While I have been to numerous other ballparks, nothing will ever be the same as going to TS. The place just felt like home. While the tigers no longer play there in reality, the memories will never die. I am totally shocked the way this topic has pulled up so many fond memories.
