He had a bust out year last year. Hopefully he can anchor a decent Angels' staff this year as well.

Hey Slushmeister, what kind of numbers do you see Washburn putting up this season?

That 12-0 streth played a huge role in me winning our fantasy league last year ... I second Slushy's hope for a repeat in 2003.

I see Washburn around 17-20 wins...180 SO, 200 plus innings, ERA probably in the upper 3's...that's my guess
and actually that's what the Angels will need in order to do well again this year.

I play in a number of leagues, but one of my biggest leagues is the one I do with other teachers at my school. Most of them are huge Angels fans because they've grown up in the area. The year before last this guy drafted almost all Angels. At the beginning of last year he drafted Jarrod Washburn and then dropped him after Washburn had his 3 poor starts in the beginning of the season. Of course somebody else picked him up and the guy that dropped him ended up in like 8th place out of 12 teams. I tease him about that everytime I see him. Of course it's fun to tease when I won the league easily. I was in first from end of May and never looked back. I wish that was a keeper team because it was awesome. I had Pedro, Oswalt, Zito, Halladay, and Vaszuez. My closers were Rob Nenn and Sasaki.
