.c The Associated Press
DUNEDIN, Fla. (Feb. 26) -- Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Tim Young was unharmed Wednesday in a car accident two blocks from the team's training camp.
An unidentified woman in the other car was taken by ambulance to a hospital. She was placed in a neck brace and immobilized on a backboard.
"I'm OK,'' said Young, who was driving a pickup when the vehicles hit at an intersection. "I just hope she is OK.''
The Blue Jays do not release medical information on players.
Young, a 29-year-old left-hander, is competing for a bullpen spot. He has played with Montreal and Boston. He signed a minor league contract this year with Toronto.
