Anyone have any ideas for the offseason???

Here is my wish list:

Johnny Damon - CF
Hideo Nomo - resign

either
Phil Nevin - 3B - free agent
Scott Rolen - 3B - trade for
Sean Casey - 1b trade for
Mike Sweeney 1b - trade for

bullpen help -
Steve Karsay

Trade Carl Everett for a used bag of balls - addition by subtraction

#1: Chan Ho Park
- His agent is Bora$, so you know he'll be looking for a lot. I've heard in the 8 year, $150M range. That's a little too much. If he lowers the price, we should seriously look into it.

#2: Jason Schmidt
- If we can't get Park, Schmidt could make a good #2.

#3: Felix Rodriguez
- Improves the 'pen

#4: Jason Christiansen
- Could be the bullpen lefty we need


Our main focus this offseason should be pitching. Our offense last year was ranked 7th in the A.L., and that's without Nomar for most of the year and an off-year for Everett.

Pitching wins championships. We've learned that the hard way the last few years. We have Pedro, but who else? A bunch of rejects and unproven young guys. We need to put a solid rotation together this offseason.

If we've learned anything from this yrs Post Season, its Pitching wins championships. Look what Schilling and Johnson have done so far. Makes you wonder what a Pedro and Roeger 1-2 punch would've been like.

I think you address your offseason needs by 1st signing Nomo and another pitcher. Park will cost $20 million a yr and I'm not so sure if I'm impressed with him. I'd definitely make a run at Jason Schmidt and keeps my eyes open to see if the Braves pick up the option on Glavine.

After, you acquire 2 pitchers for the rotation, go and get a leadoff man like Damon and or Brett Boone. I think Boone had a tremendous yr but I also think he'll never be able to repeat these numbers. Duquette can't overspend on this guy, Seattle wants to resign him badly but I'm not sure if he is worth more than 8 or 9 million per yr.
