Some other notes ...
The Kid went 3-4 with a triple. Heard recently he had laser eye surgery and he finally realized he wasn't really seeing the ball before (d'oh!). Perhaps he'll be a .300+ hitter again?
Doster was 1-1 with a run and RBI. The odds of him making the club are very long, but this is his second good game.
John Barnes, who is my darkhorse to make the team as a fourth outfielder, was 1-1.
Hyzdu and Mackowiak were 2-4 with a run scored; Hyzdu hit a homer.
Mark Gulan was 2-5, also his second good game and also another player whose chances of making the team are very small.
Jose Castillo was 1-3 at the plate. He's having a great spring, which is bad for me because I am (was) really looking forward to watching him this season.
Fogg gave up back to back homers in the first. Went 2 innings with 6 hits, 4 runs (all earned), 2 Ks. Three HRs total.
Suppan went 2 innings; 3 hits two runs all earned with a walk and strikeout.
Beimel, Figueroa, Bullington (his first game against a MLB team) and Mann all pitched a scoreless inning and Mann was the only one to give up a hit. Figueroa had one strikeout and Mann two.
