Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Anaheim Angels ace Jarrod Washburn will be sidelined for up to 10 days due to a shoulder injury. He was trying to avoid a collision with reliever Brendan Donnelly during fielding practice on Monday and fell on the shoulder. ADVERTISEMENT
X-rays were negative and Washburn was diagnosed with a mild sprain.
Washburn went 18-6 with a 3.15 ERA in 32 starts last season for the world champions.
He is starting his sixth campaign for the Angels and has 46 career victories to go along with an overall ERA of 3.81.
