There's something about this guy i don't like. The promotions aren't all that great, and i think he try's too hard to market towards youngsters. Once in awile is fine, but let the paying customers(older people) enjoy the game too. It almost feels like a circus there some times.

I've got questions about Veeck, too. The guy owns a minor league franchise and does consulting work for a number of other teams, but I guess I just don't see the brilliance. Is duct tape really bringing more people to the yard?

Frankly, most baseball facilities are a circus today. I know I'm just an old baseball traditionalist (or snob, if you will), but I don't need the additional "entertainment" designed primarily to bring people to the ballpark that don't really want to be there.
