I'm sure that this will clear up better when the SEC tourny gets going...
Auburn Tigers
Breezed through a non-conference schedule and then played .500 ball in conference. Play some tougher teams in non-conference and then maybe you get in.
(19-10, 8-8), 5-6 Road Record, 2-7 vs. RPI top 50.
-T-2nd in SEC West
RPI: 35
SOS: 34
Big Wins:
None
Bad Losses:
@Western Michigan 54-72
Tennessee Vols
This team seemed like they had no chance for an at large big until they won some games down the stretch. They still seem a little weak to me. Wins some games in the tourney...
(17-10, 9-7), 5-6 Road Record, 4-7 vs. RPI top 50.
-4th in SEC East
RPI: 46
SOS: 52
Big Wins:
Georgia 78-82
Florida 66-59
Bad Losses:
@West Virginia 62-65
@South Carolina 63-77
Alabama Crimson Tide
Boy, what happened to this team? Ranked in the top 2 for awhile, and now on the bubble? That's what happens when you get beat up in the SEC. I'd say they have the best tourney team out of these four, however, even though they finished under .500 in conference...
(17-10, 7-9), 2-8 Road Record, 5-7 vs. RPI top 50.
-4th in SEC West
RPI: 28
SOS: 11
Big Wins:
Oklahoma 68-62
Bad Losses:
@Vanderbilt 69-70
@Mississippi 57-76
@Arkansas 70-81
LSU Tigers
The win over Arizona definitely sticks out, but struggled to a .500 record in conference by winning their last five. Second most deserving out of this bunch in my book.
(19-9, 8-8), 3-7 Road Record, 4-6 vs. RPI top 50.
-2nd in SEC West
RPI: 36
SOS: 60
Big Wins:
Arizona 66-65
Mississippi State 85-72
Bad Losses:
Mississippi 57-67
@Arkansas 65-73
