Jon Crispin almost cost UCLA the game. Tosses the ball out of bounds trying to inbound in with 30 seconds left and a three point lead. What a loser.
I know Lute Olsen was saying that the tournament wasn't important to them, but there is no way they planned on losing to UCLA.
I wonder if this saves Lavin's job? I doubt it. However, the guy has been in the Sweet 16 five of the last six years, and has averaged 21 wins or something in his time at UCLA. I don't see how they could do much better. But it's UCLA, so I guess you have to win the National Championship every year.
I'm happy about this. I hate UCLA, but I hate Arizona much more.
