Adam Bernero pitched pretty well. Matt Anderson picked up his first save. Dmitri homered. All good signs in my book. Tigers' Grapefruit League mark is now 6-10. Expos tomorrow afternoon. I believe the game will be on the Tigers' radio network.

Here's the link the the Tigers.com summary of Saturday's action:

I was thinking the same thing, Jen. It's only spring, but their record isn't horrible and some of their problems heading into Florida seem to be getting a bit better. Munson has played 3B pretty well and his hitting okay. Torres and Kingsale have both looked good at the top of the order and in CF. Dmitri Young is starting to hit. Even Damion Easley has three HRs this spring.

Of course, there's the bad, too. Outside of Bonderman, Anderson and German that pitching staff is just a mess. Maroth's last start was an improvement, but Van Hekken, Bernero, Cornejo, Sparks and just about everyone else have been, basically, awful. The starters will be this team's demise unless several guys turn it around.

Overall, I can't complain about Camp Trammell to this point. Let's see how much of this can carry over to Opening Day and beyond.

Trammell has been pretty good so far. I never like Grarner much, I think Trammell is already doing a better job than he is. I especially like that move he did, inviting sparkey out.

as far as I am concerned, thier pitching staff has always needed work. I think they need to spend a few bucks and get a couple good pitchers. I have always thought that. although, I have always been happy with Anderson, he's always been one of my faves.

I think that over all, the Tigers have had a good start to what could really turn out to be a good season.
