Devil Rays Add Pitcher Bell
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Devil Rays signed agreed to a minor league contract with former Texas Rangers right-hander Rob Bell.
Bell, 26, was released by the Rangers last week. He has appeared in 70 major league games with the Rangers and Cincinnati Reds and has a 16-21 career record with a 5.95 ERA.
He was 4-3 with a 6.22 ERA in 17 games (15 starts) with the Rangers last season.
Bell was expected to report to the Rays minor league complex in St. Petersburg.
