Devil Rays Release Stevens
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- First baseman/outfielder Lee Stevens was released by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, reducing the camp roster.
A .254 career hitter in eight major league seasons, Stevens split time last year with Montreal and Cleveland, batting .190 with 10 homers and 31 RBI in 63 games for the Expos and .222 with five homers and 26 RBI for the Indians.
He signed with the Devil Rays as a free agent in January.
